'Cracking news' as peregrine falcon chick hatches [newspaper article]

Rochdale's first peregrine falcon chick of 2019 has hatched. Four eggs were laid in March and the chick broke free from its shell on Thursday, May 2. One of around 1,500 breeding pairs in the UK, the falcons have made their nest above Rochdale town hall for more than a decade - since 2008.
