Voters go to the polls on May 5th in the local elections. Labour hope to maintain their strong hold on the council chamber and the Conservatives are bidding to build on their 11 councillors. The Greens and UKIP are hoping to make a strong challenge, while the Lib Dems will seek to lauch a comeback. The Observer has asked each of the parties what they will do if they win the election.
