Transport bosses said work is still on track for the arrival of the Metrolink into Rochdale early next year. Testing of the line has now begun and trams are expected to start carrying passengers to and from Rochdale railway station from February. Bosses at Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) are now working towards opening the new line to Shaw before they open the Rochdale section.
